Alphonse Mouzon has died from neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare form of cancer he was diagnosed with this past September. The cancer rapidly progressed and claimed his life the day after Christmas. He was an American jazz fusion drummer and a music industry entrepreneur. He owned Tenacious Records, a label that primarily released his recordings. He was a composer, arranger, producer and actor. He gained popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Mouzon had a gofundme campaign posted to help with his cancer treatments and had literally just reach his goal of $60,000 two days ago. No word on services yet. Video below
